Windows comic software

Hi all

 

Just wondering ... do any of you create comic strips in house? If so, are the utlities you use free?

 

Suggestions for free software would be great

Our school uses Comic Life and seems to go down well with pupils and staff.

Another vote for Comic Life, though it's not free (well, ours was - the LEA bought a shed load of licences).

 

If you have Publisher, there's a template with comic style "frames" available (might be able to dig it out and email it), but I'm not sure how easy it is create strips using Publisher.

I've used Comic Life and generally it's very good and fun to use. It's not too expensive from what I remember.

Not sure if it is suitable but there is the Super Action Comic Maker which is free if you are on the grid.

and its a vote for comic life from me too. it is a great piece of software and is easy to use

We use Scratch which is free

It was discribed to me as being comic strip software when i was asked to put it on,

i've not used it but the teachers seem to love it

I'm thinking of writing some of my help guides using the thing just to get the teachers to read the darned things.

I've seen Comic Life on Teachers TV and was pretty impressed.

 

On a similar note have a look at www.toondoo.com - can make mini comic-strips and cartoons online.
