Fun and games, my PC decided to pack in this weekend, now looking for a replacement along the lines of this:

I've purchased Novatech bundles in the past, either for projects or customers, as they can sometimes be a good deal and they guarantee compatibility of the components.

 

You might find that you can get it cheaper if you buy the parts separately form the likes of Novatech, LambdaTek, OCUK, etc

I've been looking at getting it all seperate but tbh for the price and for the hassle it's not going to cause me i was gonna just get a package. Was that annoyed with PC's this weekend i was almost driven to buy an off the shelf machine and actually walked into the devils lair itself... PC world *shudders*

I've used Zoostorm (sold through resellers) in the past for complete PCs for friends and family since it started working out about the same for a whole system as doing it myself with decent bits.

 

Just had a quick look and Zoostorm 5-7501 Edge PC - Core 2 Quad Q6600, 2GB RAM, 8800GT, 500GB HD, Premium - PC Nextday seems like a cracking price at £450 all in. Depends if you're into fiddling or just like convenience

About 6 months ago I got a Dell Precision workstation for £260... it's awesome!

My last bundle was from them. Same CPU etc, different board. Excellent lot though.

how did you get on with the q6600? i've looked on the web and there's a big thing between the q6600 and the e8400 / q8400 is it worth going quad core?

Quad cores are great. Your better off going with a 2.4 Quad core than a 2.6 Dual Core - more powaaaaaaaahhhhh!
