Did anyone in Northern England feel an earthquake at about 11.22 this morning? - there was quite a shock here!

Typical, I stop working in the lakes and move back to Yorkshire and the earth moves right in the town where I worked, I'm sure that one of the IT team from the school I've come from can be poked to post on here seen as the Beeb say it was in Ulverston which is where they are

Was in the middle of VMware training when it happened, everybody had just restarted machines when the whole room stated shaking! We couldn't work out what it was at first as there are various things near by that could have exploded (chemical, gas, nuclear etc). Kids were a bit hyper for the rest of the day. Will have to check the CCTV for shaky cameras!

Ah right on queue I knew that VMWare and the Blade Centre was powerful stuff but WOW you will have the share that trick with me sometime Could do with a few quakes in the Dales to shake a few people up at times

It's a damn fine school with some excellent former pupils, mentioning no names:rolleyes:

 

I'm in Cartmel, six miles away as the seagull flies, hence the reason it sounded like a bomb going off I've since heard the epicentre was actually in Morecambe bay, so may have been even closer to us than them!
