EduTech Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 I can see the subject changing again.. from chocolate back to politics
leco Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 I can see the subject changing again.. from chocolate back to politics Political chocolate? Is that like the famous teapot or fireguard?
witch Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Please ignore all the buscuit suggestions above - they are all clearly from trolls as the true best biscuit is the Ginger Nut. Jonathan Absolutely!!
silver_hippo Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 If you're talking chocolate then it has to be CURLY WURLYS! Sorry have to disagree. Lion Bars are the best chocolate bar. They have a Lion on the wrapper... automatically the best, King of the jungle bars!
StewartKnight Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 I'm more of a vindaloo man than a hobnob!
sparkeh Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Clearly the correct answers are: 1) Rich Tea - there is no finer biscuit. 2) Crunchy - no more needs to be said there.
mac_shinobi Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 some of these biscuits : AngloAustralianTrading Ltd - Detail with a cup of tea , coffee or hot chocolate mmmmmm
mac_shinobi Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Kit Kat chocolate is hard to beat, tho' twirl's are pretty amazin'. nestle milky bar ( white chocolate ) ?? A bar of cadburys crunchie ( with the crunchie bits in it )
Domino Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 pfffft, you're all living in the past... there's only one thing for tea... Doublestuf Oreo - Cybercandy Ltd
GrumbleDook Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 I stand by the Rich Tea decision ... but notice I said no dunking. They are not a dunking biscuit but a munching biscuit ... and you wash down teh crumbs with Earl Grey or Lady Grey. Chocolate ... it all depends on how far up the ladder to heaven you want to go. Basic comfort chocolate is the humble Cadbury's Fruit and Nut Interesting choccie bar award goes to the Double Decker Intense chocolate goes to the 85% Lindt bars Dreamy Chocolate goes to the Champagne Truffle by Ixx (courtesy of Hotel Chocolat) And for those who really want to go to heaven, there is a little Chocolatier just round the corner from Saville Row. If you worry about the price then you shouldn't be in there. *Anything* from that shop is worthy of the ultimate prize (apart from the CCCBs of other coffee related items ... but that is because I don't do coffee.) Remember ... I only eat chocolate because it is bad for you, and I am trying to save the world singled handed!
sparkeh Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Yeah whats with dunking biscuits? Crazy foos!
EduTech Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Yeah whats with dunking biscuits? Digestive's

Remember ... I only eat chocolate because it is bad for you, and I am trying to save the world singled handed! have to disagree about rich teas.......defintely for dunking not munching. As for the weakness issues, just double 'em up and make sure the teas piping hot so you know it's a quick in/out manouvere and you don't get any timing issues. They never fit into smaller sized cups so i always bite a little bit off the end rather than break them in half to make sure they fit. As for chocolatiers, some of their displays do look very tempting. But not being a conosseuir of 'real' chocolate i'd always figured they'd be too much of a leap from my humble milk chocolate twirl tastes. A nice munching biscuit/choc biscuit with a brew are breakaways. Straight from the fridge so that they're nice and cold and have proper bite...kitkats are also excellent with tea but not for dunking obviously. Multipack Flapjack snickers i'd have over choccy hobnobs any day. The flapjack snickers used to be really heavy but the small finger sized ones are a real improvement. The texture is also a bit different.
torledo Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Digestive's Digestives are only good for one thing imo.........as the biscuit base in a good cheesecake.
tech_guy Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Aren't we being a bit biased here just talking about biscuits? What about puddings? My favourite has to be a nice spotted dick.
leco Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Aren't we being a bit biased here just talking about biscuits? What about puddings? My favourite has to be a nice spotted dick. Far too controversial and genderist. You'll be telling us next that you like ice cream cornets with a flake.
MkII Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Troll? Missed what, if anything, transpired in the last week, but that's not such an ace diagnosis and the (cliched, sorry) advice doesn't really work e.g. they did a fine enough jobs shot-gunning those posts without any interaction and for the most part are oblivious to any effects or responses. I think a better word is zealot. A bit sad in one way, because the subject is one of those I think people, especially techs in this profession, ought to know a bit about. But hey, what's understanding the viewpoints (including the crusader's), legalities and politics and so on compared knowing what biscuits everyone likes... Yeah I think zealot is a better description. And agreed, the subject matter would have been very interesting presented briefly and legibly. Connoisseur chocolate, never found any to hold a light to those mentioned above. Wasted time in Bruges mostly spitting it out! Same with Tea.. PG Tips or Typhoo dust any day. Proper builders tea - lovely Home made rhubarb crumble and proper custard (Byrds powder with hot milk).
michael2k6 Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Here's where i throw a spanner in the works... chocolate covered rich tea, which cadbury's now make. So... 1) Choclate Rich Tea 2) Chocolate Rich Tea - And they are both for dunking. I accidentally discovered one day that modelling tweasers go a long way for aiding in the dunking ceremony - chocolate covered rich teas soon melt onto your fingers, which if fine if you're in a position to clean them, but not if you're also typing. Use some decent modelling tweasers and problem is solved. If you eat enough of them you end up typing with the fingers on one hand and with the tweasers in the other.
Domino Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Here's where i throw a spanner in the works... A spanner...? thats not gonna be much good with a cup of tea. even a chocolate covered one....
K.C.Leblanc Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 A spanner...? thats not gonna be much good with a cup of tea. even a chocolate covered one.... How do you cover a cup of tea in chocolate?

I bow to your hardcore nerdiness michael!
K.C.Leblanc Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 I bow to your hardcore nerdiness michael! You mean you dunk with your fingers, how disgraceful. Though are banished.
tech_guy Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 I used to work with someone who used to dissolve two digestive biscuits in his mug of tea, which already had four sugars in it. Yuk. I can still hear him slurping the sludge that collected at the bottom of his mug. Pig.
K.C.Leblanc Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Good news everybody. The Dacia ,,,,,, oh cock, we're talking about biscuits arn't we.
