Guest Guest Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 Just been asked to find out how much netsupport costs. Can anyone tell me without me having to phone them up. Cheers
sparkeh Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 I looked into this earlier this year, the price is composed of a per machine price + maintenance plan cost + media cost. The per machine cost depends on the number of machines you are licensing, more machines = less per machine. Prices might have changed but I was quoted the following for netsupport school: 20 machines total cost = £776.75 61 = £1,975.07 76 = £2,453.87 If you want to know what you get in the maintenance plan I can send you the pdf I received.
sparkeh Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 Those prices were for the first year, I believe that after that you only need to renew the maintenance agreement (if you want to). So the maintenance renewals broke down like this (prices also based on number of machines): 21=£124.80 61=£324.52 76=£404.32 The maintenance agreement allows you to get updates and add licences at the cumulative price rather than at full price.
sparkeh Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 Is that for Netsupport School or manager? School
FN-GM Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 this is the exact same product just re-branded Sentinel Products Designed for Education | Ranger Remote Control might be worth seeing if they can do i better deal.
DrPerceptron Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 Does RRC give you the new NSS10.0 features though such as the Tech Console?
FN-GM Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 Does RRC give you the new NSS10.0 features though such as the Tech Console? Yep, we use it
Rebecca_H Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Hi J17sparky Just to let you know that all the NetSupport products prices depend on the quantity being bought as they all have various price breaks. The licence costs are a one off cost so once you have bought them; they are the organisations for life. The maintenance is optional but we do recommend it if you want to keep your licences completely up to date. If you do want an official quotation, just drop the UK Sales Team an email on [email protected] We don't bite - I promise! So if you did want to give UK Sales a call, please feel free on 01778 382270 (We're quite friendly really...!)
FN-GM Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Also might be worth mentioning the support from netsupport is excellent.
john Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Will agree that NetSupport software is also very good and the tech support guys are also excellent
DrPerceptron Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Ditto here Out of interest, is the maintenance contract a fixed cost? or dependant on licensed PC's?
L.Kay Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 We were quoted approx £6,500 for all our PCs (approx 400), so we have today decided to go with Impero as you can get a site license for that at only £3,500 if you order by the end of this month. We looked at a lot of software and narrowed it down to two, and of those two we decided we are happy with either and now it comes down to cost. Site licenses are also a lot easier to manage and you don't have to worry about them.
L.Kay Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Ditto here Out of interest, is the maintenance contract a fixed cost? or dependant on licensed PC's? I was quoted 20% of the cost of each license, per year. So, for us, that would have been approx £1,300 per year.
Rebecca_H Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Ditto here Out of interest, is the maintenance contract a fixed cost? or dependant on licensed PC's? Hi there. I can confirm that maintenance is 20% of the software cost, per year. (As licences have price breaks, the maintenance cost also goes down with the more licences purchased.) When enquiring about the purchase of software you are always welcome to discuss your quotation with your allocated Account Manager.
Oops_my_bad Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Also try faronics insight (netsupport school rebranded). Licenced per lab, think it came to about £300 per lab last time I checked.
rdhawkins Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Faronics Insight is actually LanSchool rebranded, not NetSupport School. Rob
Phxantom16 Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 How much would a licence be for 3 computers?
