"This PC" tab missing completely from File Explorer
Phxantom16 posted a topic in Windows Server 2016
Hi I have set up a new user type on my network and assigned group policies, however when logging into the user account with the policy applied and going into File Explorer, the "This PC" tab is completely missing from the side bar/tree. I have not changed any policies that should affect File Explorer's behaviour so not sure what has happened? Would anyone know how and why this has happened? Screenshot attached -

It is missing completely from the tree and also defaulting to Quick Access. -
Hi I have set up group policies for my different user groups, but for one of my groups upon opening File Explorer, the "Computer/This PC" tab where you access drives and network drives is missing. I think I might of accidently enabled a policy which turns it off. Could someone help? Thanks

Hey all Trying to build a CC4 workstation using a build image flashed to a USB stick. I then boot from the USB stick to get to the workstation build application, but I get the following error: Error. Unknown software exception The computer will then reboot, and this will happen again If I try again. Could anyone advise how to fix this?

Thanks for all your replies and suggestions. I did suspect my card may be faulty, but i don't understand why it works perfectly fine in Windows 7, and plays up in Windows 10. I figured because my PC is from 2009, and Windows 7 is from 2009 the card may work better with older hardware. I don't think it is faulty and it could be a major driver issue in Windows 10.

That might be a possibility. I will look into it

Hey guys I just installed a graphics card into my Dell OptiPlex 380 PC because i need two monitors and the PC doesn't have enough display ports. It is an old card and works fine for dual displays. The card is an AMD Radeon HD 5400 Series. The card is old, but works! However, whenever i do something like play a video, look at a GIF image or do anything similar which involves motion, the graphics card completely freezes up the screen, making the PC unable to do anything and then i have to force shutdown my PC. I have tried stuff like changing the drivers but still the same issue, or is the card faulty. Another thing to note, my PC has two operating systems. Win 7 and Win 10. This issue only occurs on Windows 10 and if i play a video or GIF or whatever on Windows 7, it is all fine and still works without freezing. Strange right! This is driving me crazy and making me unproductive. Can someone please help and give me some advice? Thanks!

Hey everyone Would someone answer this question for me. I looked online and Windows 10 support ends in 2025, and I'm wondering what are we supposed to do after that. Ditch Windows, or are Microsoft going to release a new operating system such as the rumoured Windows 11?

Hey everyone. Today I attempted to download and install Windows 10 version 1903. It downloaded and restarted my computer to install it. However, the install failed and when I go to do it again, the option to download and install the update has gone (see attached image). I have tried everything from restarting the update services, running the troubleshooter and resetting the settings application but no luck. Could someone please help me? Cheers Cameron

Hey guys I have a Windows Server 2019 running Active Directory Domain Services, and everytime i log on as a user on my server a cmd box pops up in the bottom right hand corner with the title UsrLogon.cmd (see attached screenshot). I exit it and the desktop loads as normal. Could someone please tell me how to remove this box and stop it from popping up every time someone logs on? The simplest method will do. I don't want to have to download any software to fix it. Many Thanks Cameron
