We have Audacity installed locally across out Curriculum network.

All works fine until, quite randomly, someone opens their Audacity projects and it's corrupt saying some files are missing. When I check the .au files in the project's data folder, there are indeed some of the .au files it needs missing.

I don't know how they're disappearing.

It used to be a case of kids moving the data folder around but this has been drilled into them time and time again and I'm pretty confident this is not the case any more.

If anyone can shed any light, it would be appreciated.

Thanks.

swap to using the portable one from a shared drive, just redirect the shortcut and that should avoid the issue of them messing about ;). Sorry I couldn't help with the actula issue!!

We have this occasionally and I'm sure that they don't have enough space when they save and they are ignoring any errors and logging off.

I don't think it's lack of space from what I've seen today.
