I think you could be onto something here, I've updated Senso to 2026.4.13.1 over the half term. I uninstalled this from my machine and the problem resolved, re-installed it and it came back.

I will raise a support call with them I think, thanks for the heads up.

How can it be Senso if it was happening to you on your personal machine at home!?

Adding the following URL exclusions to Senso has worked for me:

outlook.office.com
microsoftonline
cloud.microsoft

@MrEprise I'm not sure why but here we are.

We've also done the same thing. We called Senso up after I had seen your reply on here and they told us the same thing.

Senso > Admin Centre > Logging > Policies

We've just added it to our Safeguarding policy that I think is already in there by default.

Go to Policy Items >SSL URL Exclusions. Add each URL and click ENTER after each one to add them. Then save.

Ah, we're seeing issues at schools with v1.  I'm wondering if both versions are going through the same processes for SSL/Non SSL inspection.

When we spoke to Senso, it sounded like they instantly knew the issue and provided the current solution immediately, so they could easily have issues across both versions.

We're on the same version as @F56enthusiast with v2. Is v1 still receiving updates?

Interesting thread! Have seen a few reports from our schools for this (chalked it up to general 365 issues) has anyone made the SSL policy change in Senso and seen it have a positive effect?

Great of Senso to reach out to their customers to say that 'If you are experiencing this issue, then please add x y and z'.

I wish there was way to have a Senso global policy for such things, because if this is the fix, I now have to manually edit 50 policies, one for each site.

Yes, it started working immediately for me.

I used the instant chat and they came back to me pretty much instantly with the fix.

It's worked for us as well. I have just carried out tests and users are seeing emails again.

My technician and I were just saying the same thing. It is frustrating that if they're somewhat aware of what is happening, they would either reach out, or have it somewhere when you log in as a notice.

We've just tested it with two more staff staff that had the issue, and they're all seeing emails now - so fully believe this is a Senso update issue.

I have also done the same with our staff, all staff email sent out to confirm we finally know why and have a fix in place.

Now I am getting an influx of users ringing/emailing to say "I have just received that email without refreshing' and I am just sending back:

Completely forgot about Senso. Ever since we went to v2 its been a lot better (and not) in areas. I have added these exclusions and so far ... So good.

Thank you guys.

We had this issue and have added the fix to SENSO.

As a thought - Does anybody now know, as an example if a student started to write a threatening email or suicidal thoughts in an email - whether as this has now been excluded will not pick up within the SENSO logging?

Good question!

This is still happening for us, and we don't even have website logging enabled as we're with LGfL, so it's all already tracked on the web filter.

Well I can confirm after a month or so after this issue had occurred, we have not had it since we made the change on our Senso V2 portal.

I would suggest raising it from your side to see if there's any tailored support that can be provided to you.

Have you raised it with Senso?

No, mainly because I've never had much luck with them, and there's nothing concrete tying the issue to them (and it isn't affecting everyone, too - I've been fine, but the office team are having issues even after reverting the version back to 2025.10)

I suppose it's worth a shot.

Does it happen to the office staff often?

An easy test would be to uninstall senso from those machines to see if it makes a difference. Then you'll know if Senso is your culprit or not.

I might look into that if it's still happening in September.

Spending time fiddling with Intune to stop it reinstalling would take too long at the moment.
