LeMarchand Posted January 28 Posted January 28 We have a slowly growing number of iPads that are showing "last update" some time ago. I have marked these lost, which doesn't seem to be being taking affect. However they do seem to be in use and updating apps. Anyone had this and managed to sort it out? Also, I reset one pad which now will not connect to the school main SSID. However I set up the "Mosyle Emergency" SSID on the same Unifi APs/system and it will connect to that (and my phone). Ditto.
TheTrueNerd Posted January 28 Posted January 28 I had a issue with this, if you force to old connect to one ssid this could cause the wifi connection issue. But are your SSIDs stuck on WPA3 as apple has issues with connecting to this sometimes i have had to set our sites to WPA2/3 The Last update issue, for me turned out to be firewall ports which prevent mosyle from talking to the iPads check these are still in place for the internet range 1
LeMarchand Posted January 28 Author Posted January 28 Thanks for the pointers. I did have the "one profile only" thing set. Relaxing that didn't seem to help but, on checking, the "missing" devices are pretty much those that haven't picked up that profile. APs should be doing WPA2. I'll have to track them down one holiday and try resetting them. Ports should be OK as all the others seem fine?
TheTrueNerd Posted January 28 Posted January 28 (edited) the issue being if its stuck then a reset might be needed to remove the policy as they will be still stuck with the old one profile until the update which they can't do yeah ports normally are fine and don't change, but if they updated the ports needed then that could be the issue. unfortunetely i recently moved to intune from mosyle Edited January 28 by TheTrueNerd
