We are coming to the end of our current contract with Net support and are looking at options for Classroom Management systems. We are a Trust with several Sites (Primary and Secondary schools) using Net support Tutor console in the classroom and Net Support DNA withing our IT Support Teams.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a Trust level system similar to Net Support's Classroom Console and DNA?

Are there any that we should maybe avoid?

In one of our schools we had ABTutor Cloud and replaced it with https://classroom.cloud/ - we trialled another option (off the top of my head can't remember what it was) But ultimately https://classroom.cloud/ won through and is working well in a fully cloud secondary school of 900 users.

did you demo senso by anychance? our renewal is coming up for classroomcloud and im looking at senso.

As a past senso user (not V2, can't comment on that, but I know another user who is desperate to get away...) classroom cloud is significantly better. They've got a handy technician tool coming soon too, had a brief demo of it at Bett.

I can't ever trust a software suite where they have a dedicated pricing page on their website with just a contact form... 😂

Anyone know how much it actually is?

We have impero ed pro and our contract is up soon. I had an email about classroom.cloud's ability to filter AI apps, rather than just the browser. Can anyone shed light if this is effective please?

@BassBone99 about time you joined!!

Classroom Cloud is ok - just a faff to keep updating the client, you would have thought there would be some kind of auto updater.

Senso is the same - there's an updater module, but the MSI's GUID is different for each version released, so they advise not to use it if you're doing a mass deployment, and only to use that on any standalone machines.

Morning all,

I just wanted to respond to a few points raised in this thread.  The Tech Console that @mrbios mentioned was released for all customers at the end of February, this added a number of highly requested features from our on prem products to classroom.cloud:

  • The ability to see thumbnails for all devices across your network
  • Copy and paste to a remote session
  • Blank screen (blank the screen on the users device whilst you are carrying out work)
  • PowerShell with the ability to see the responses from machines
  • File transfer
  • Remote Registry editing
  • Task Manager which allows you to see running applications (and close them), running processes and the ability to start / stop / restart services

The Tech Console also has the ability to work out where you are in relation to the machines you want to connect to.  This means that when you're in school it will route all traffic across your local network for the best performance, but where a direct connection can't be made traffic will be routed via our cloud infrastructure.

Regarding the auto updating of the client, we are working on some changes that will hopefully make this a bit easier.  If you are using the software across multiple schools and deploying using a method which allows switches to be added to the install command (SCCM or Intune for example), we recommend that you set the device configuration separately rather than let the installer do it.  This means that when it comes to upgrading you only need to setup a single deployment package rather than one for each school.  I have put together a video which explains how to do this from Intune, but do reach out to our Support Team if you have any further questions.

@ITGuyNW our latest update can identify where safeguarding triggers have come from AI sources, we also have the ability to monitor Copilot where it's being used on devices where our software isn't installed if a student is logged in using their school account.
