Sheridan Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 Oh dear - most of our users now see no apps on the 365 landing page - only the following message: New to Microsoft 365 CopilotThis is your Microsoft 365 Copilot home page-where you can see and access all of your Microsoft 365 apps. If it's empty, it could be that your user licence was very recently assigned to you. Wait 10 minutes and refresh this page. If you still don't see any apps, contact your IT department. They can help you get up and running. This isn't correct as we have A3 Faculty assigned by default and this isn't a recent addition - anyone else having problems? We use the landing page: https://m365.cloud.microsoft/apps/ Now even as an admin I just get the 'New to copilot message' and all the standard apps are missing. Another day using 365...
Dan2025 Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 Have the same, admin button isn't working via that page either. Surprisingly not had any staff complain yet!
Sheridan Posted December 2, 2025 Author Posted December 2, 2025 It seemed to be hitting everyone here and had a few calls, some are coming back now when they refresh the page - not a great start to a Tuesday...
Rob_D Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 The landing page looked empty at first, but after I went into https://myapplications.microsoft.com/ and then back to the homepage, it loaded properly. Although we stopped using the MS "landing pages" in favour of our SharePoint homepages a while back because of this sort of nonsense.
JazzFlute Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 (edited) Experienced intermittent problems with the "App Launcher" on Edge for a year with sometimes apps not showing. Decided to gradually move to the M365 Copilot App for everyone to use so can pin all Office apps there as well as add website shortcuts in Admin Selected so staff can pin those too so is a one stop shop for everything as well as Copilot chat being in front of your face to encourage staff to use it. Sheridan Posted December 3, 2025 Author Posted December 3, 2025 Ours has just gone off again, no apps appearing and the meaningless message appearing again Great stuff, makes me long for GSuite a little bit more...
6Foot3 Posted December 3, 2025 Posted December 3, 2025 Mine was gone for all users about 10 mintues ago but seems like it's working again now.
Sheridan Posted December 3, 2025 Author Posted December 3, 2025 Some have come back here but not all, and running very slow. I think I need to find an alternative landing page as this copilot forced mess isn't working too well

It is like a shop where you have to walk around isles jus to get to the checkout laced with sugar goodies that try to entice you into spending more money. Edited December 3, 2025 by Davit2005
Sheridan Posted December 3, 2025 Author Posted December 3, 2025 And its back off again...what a POS its been this last couple of days.
6Foot3 Posted December 3, 2025 Posted December 3, 2025 I liked the old Office.com landing page, the one where it didn't shove copilot down your throat. 3

I think this is definitely the way to go as Microsoft are pushing the M365 Copilot App and I get the feeling the old Office 365 landing page wont exist soon. The new Edge "Copilot preview" toggle button when switched on only gives you 1 row of shortcuts to add websites to instead of the 2 rows in the current version so when the latest version is enabled by default which is soon I believe then staff will only see 1 row of website shortcuts instead of the 2. I've added all our schools websites etc. using the Admin portal so staff can then pin all the websites they need and everything appears on the left hand side in the M365 App. I like the idea that the Message Copilot chat window is in front of your face to encourage staff to use it as there's no way to hold this back if using AI/Copilot isn't your preference.
NegativeKillDeath Posted December 3, 2025 Posted December 3, 2025 I notice its been changed again. I used to have my pinned apps (admin, word, excel etc) in a list on the left panel. They have now been relegated to an "apps" item and it takes an extra click. Its getting depressing how much they are trying to abstract the actual work away from the end user.
Sheridan Posted December 3, 2025 Author Posted December 3, 2025 Thing is I don't want another app to manage simply to access 365 web apps - its another unnecessary complication! I'll probably just redirect everyone to a sharepoint site and they can access their apps via the grid menu

That's exactly what I've been doing today 🙂 - added the core apps and MRU list and will make this the default landing page for everyone! 1
