Alawil Posted May 30, 2025 Posted May 30, 2025 Hi We are using Net2 Lite to manage Paxton door controllers, we would like to create some simple API scripts to automate some functions in Net2 but it seems you now need an API license. We have spoken to Paxton and according to https://www.paxton-access.com/integrating-with-paxton/how-to-integrate-with-net2/ they are no longer accepting integrations for non-commercial integrations. Does anyone have any ideas on how we can activate the API service on the Net2 server?
Alawil Posted May 30, 2025 Author Posted May 30, 2025 dont worry, i figured it out. Thank you anyway. 1 1

This is something I keep meaning to look at (getting a simple list-of-people-in-the-building so I can do a dashboard display of some sort), is Paxton API access a bit fiddly?

Now there's something I've also been meaning to look at. What software were you planning on using to display who was in and out?

I was going to write my own dashboard-like display - probably a fairly simple web page (HTML / CSS (Bootstrap library) and Javascript) that loads a CSV file produced by a server-side script, periodically (every minute?) getting updates. 1
andy_b Posted July 7, 2025 Posted July 7, 2025 Dunno if this is useful to anyone - but you can get a simple "Who is in" html file with the built in tools: https://www.paxton-access.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/AN1121.pdf 1 1
nathan3388 Posted July 7, 2025 Posted July 7, 2025 Hi, Can you send me this to as i am interested in the API as well Thanks
Rizzo Posted July 8, 2025 Posted July 8, 2025 We use Net2JsonRestServer from intoaccess that links into NET2. costs about £1k. We use it to push info from our ID card system into Net2 and set access on the card/token, all automated with scripts we've written after the card is printed. Net2JsonRestServer does loads but we only use it for syncing card info and which doors will open for that card, https://www.intoaccess.com/?page_id=843
