Arthur Posted April 3, 2025 Posted April 3, 2025 Quote Only one man has the particular set of skills... to lead Police Squad and save the world! Lt. Frank Drebin Jr. (Liam Neeson) follows in his father's footsteps in THE NAKED GUN, directed by Akiva Schaffer (Saturday Night Live, Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping) and from producer Seth MacFarlane (Ted, Family Guy). Joining the case are cast Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser, CCH Pounder, Kevin Durand, Cody Rhodes, Liza Koshy, Eddie Yu, with Danny Huston.
Dos_Box Posted April 3, 2025 Posted April 3, 2025 Noooo! I think there are some films that should not be remade, and this is definitely one! 2
synaesthesia Posted April 4, 2025 Posted April 4, 2025 2 minds.... the first echos @Dos_Box and Naked Gun should be left WELL alone. On the other - Seth, love or hate him, has a knack of doing surprisingly well from things he was told not to touch. The Orville is a great start, and still to this date there hasn't been a better Star Trek. However, even with Neeson - can anyone "replace" Leslie Nielson? Like a glass coffin lid, remains to be seen.
Fazza Posted April 4, 2025 Posted April 4, 2025 (edited) No, no, no, no. Some things should be left alone. [EDIT] Just watched the trailer so now it's: Yes, yes, yes, yes. Some things should be continued!... Edited April 4, 2025 by Fazza Watched the trailer...
Cat_Jam148 Posted April 4, 2025 Posted April 4, 2025 I'm willing to give it a chance, the last scene of the teaser did get a chuckle from me. Seth's track record tends to show he respects the material so I'm optimistic.
DalekSec Posted April 4, 2025 Posted April 4, 2025 I've always been a die hard Police Squad and Naked Gun fan, First minute of the trailer i was like oh god no... then the last scene leaves me with a shred of hope! Will have to wait and see!
NegativeKillDeath Posted April 4, 2025 Posted April 4, 2025 I also when from No to Maybe with the final scene. Was the bank the same one from The Dark Knight?

I thought it was the one from Free Guy. To quote Paddy Considine in The World's End - "stop Starbuckin' us, man!"
Norphy Posted April 4, 2025 Posted April 4, 2025 (edited) Seth MacFarlane? Ah, crap. Edited April 4, 2025 by Norphy
Cat_Jam148 Posted June 16, 2025 Posted June 16, 2025 (edited) Full trailer has been released. The take a chair joke got a chuckle from me. I'm more optimistic that they can pull it off now. Edited June 16, 2025 by Cat_Jam148 2
jthompson Posted July 22, 2025 Posted July 22, 2025 Instead of making The Naked Gun again, Seth McFarlane should try making Ted again, because that film was really bad.
ITGuyNW Posted July 22, 2025 Posted July 22, 2025 I'm fine with this reboot but absolutely sick of the "its the sound of the police" music they keep using in trailers and promos.

mthomas08 Posted July 22, 2025 Posted July 22, 2025 Grew up loving the originals, think I'm going to really enjoy this. As for Ted - I loved the first one.
