Anti Virus - best value

Hi

Does anyone know what is the best value Anti Virus (Windows) product at the moment for schools ?

I'm currently using AVAST BUSINESS SECURITY, which is expiring soon & I am sensing that the deal I got 3 years ago is no where near available :(

Are you a 365 environment? If so Microsoft Defender is a no brainer.

Loaded question - value can mean something very different to the person holding the purse strings to someone holding the school's IT together.

It's the IT person's job to make the value make sense to the bean counter; currently I don't think anything is close to Sophos.

Does your local authority offer anything? We get Sophos from ours at a very good rate.

Same, Sophos from LA is hard to beat price wise.

Sophos here , used it for years. Renew it through  a reseller and always good value IMO

Sophos here, although thats primarily because we get it as part of our package with the LGFL.

 

If we didn't we'd probably be using Microsoft Defender for Business.

ESET are currently proving the most popular through our clients - They have a 70% off RRP thing for new EDU, given it`s normally 35% you`ll see it`s a hefty chunk.

We've been eset, sophos endpoint protection for SCCM and now Windows defender. 

 

Defender has so far been the best for several reasons... Unobtrusive to the user, configurable, good value even when we were paying for it, excellent vlaue now it's bundled with our E1 licensing.
