Has anyone seen anything concrete about how 'unlimited' the unlimited part of Be is? I've looked for clauses about Fair Use in the T&C etc, but obviously having a 24mb connection seems a bit pointless if you get slapped after going over say 30gb a month. I'm on a 90gb cap with 8mbit with my current ISP and do occasionally go over the limit and end up paying extra - plus the geek factor of things being really zoooomy is very tempting.

No nagging emails about reduce your usage/moves to a group with other heavy users etc etc?

Edit - @Geoff - does that free connection offer extend to migration? Looking like I might take you up on that if it is :D

I have had Be in the Past but unfortuntaly not living on my own we had to get rid :( as my mum wanted Virgin lol. but i can say i must be lucky to not have any problems with virgin. i have recently moved in a new house and there is no cable installed so Virgin are going to come out and install a Cable Line (dig up road etc) Free just so i can keep the service.

But if i am honest i wish i had Be back lol. :p

James.

I bet your neighbours are thrilled.

This week started using a netgear dg834gt with the custom firmware latest version posted on the be forum a couple of days ago. Along with my internal re-wiring ive seen my connection now go up to 17mb. I reckon I should be able to get that up to about 20 with a few more tweaks and stuff :)

Next im gonna look at how to put the netgear into modem only mode so I can use my cisco router to handle my multiple IPs. Wasting a tenner a month at the moment as I cant get the multiIPs working.

They're probably installing cable for the new build then and not just because you asked them. They probably told you that to make you feel special and so that they can continue to charge you £75 a month.
