gotenks1321 Posted February 4, 2025 Posted February 4, 2025 Either your an AI bot, or I am just booking in my upgrade as we speak, we will find out Definitely not an AI bot We've used v1 for quite a few years and have been very impressed with the differences. Not all modules from v1 are yet in v2 and there may well be some that aren't included but we use pretty much all aspects of it from the technical side, classroom management and safeguarding. It's definitely worth giving it a go. 1
TheRobins Posted February 4, 2025 Posted February 4, 2025 Safeguarding is Number 1 for me, As regards classroom management its screen locking, control and broadcast. If that all works should be good. Assuming it has a new client installer for end devices?
gotenks1321 Posted February 4, 2025 Posted February 4, 2025 It does indeed; a new client and new web portal for management.
supportman Posted February 4, 2025 Posted February 4, 2025 That's absolutely fantastic news, it was well due an update! Signing up for the beta now
broadld Posted February 4, 2025 Posted February 4, 2025 I have organised a trial for this so we will see if it works any better than last time we tried it.
robslack Posted February 5, 2025 Posted February 5, 2025 We have had a trail of v2 but it is currently missing important classroom management features like broadcast screen, remote login, unlock windows so gone back to v1. 4
TheRobins Posted February 5, 2025 Posted February 5, 2025 Thanks Rob for the heads up on that, Broadcast screen is the thing that the staff request most, I use remote login during holidays but ill have a chat with them when they reply to my upgrade request and see if there is a timeline for these features. 1
cactus Posted March 6, 2025 Posted March 6, 2025 Same bad experience here. Was all OK during the trial and first few months of use. Recently devices just do not appear via the Admin Console. Only a re-install of the app brings it back online. Have contacted support but not holding out much hope. Fortunately we only have a 1 year license so we'll ditch it if the issues continue.
_techie_ Posted March 18, 2025 Posted March 18, 2025 I found doing any TLS inspection on traffic destined for Senso's servers caused issues. Specifying URL's and ports in your firewall, and setting them to be not TLS inspected helped massively. If you have a firewall that can do traffic priority, setting it to live/video/realtime helps speed up the initial connection massively. There are still some issues with the product, don't get me wrong, but the above really helps. Thanks Mark 1
