Which e-book to choose

Could you please recommend an e-book? How should I make the right choice and what features should I consider?

Or perhaps you could share the model you're using? I'd greatly appreciate your assistance!

But I assume you mean e-book reader. I really like the kindle paperwhite (as I mostly read just before bed, the nightlight function is really useful, but it does take a couple of weeks of the battery life). Really, I think it depends on where you're planning to get your e-books. If you use amazon, then a kindle of some stripe is the obvious choice.

I really like my kobo libre h20. The main thing is I can borrow library books through Overdrive. I'm a bit of a voracious reader so it saves a fortune and a godsend during lockdown. Decent battery life, nice backlight which gradually fades to a warm colour at night. Magnetic flip cover/stand is useful. Never poured beer/wine over it but good to know it "should" be waterproof.

As my reading tends to be in "snatched moments" here and there, I don't have a dedicated reader and rely on apps that will sync cross device. Apart from the Kindle App needed for your Amazon purchases, I've found PocketBook and BookFusion useful.

Call me old-fashioned, but there's something comforting about an old e-reader: the way it feels in the hand, the feel of the perfectly weighted mechanical page turn buttons, the hairline fracture of the bezel plastics, the smell of non-touch, un-backlighted e-ink.

I read these when I was a kid and kind of enjoyed them. I would recommend the Warlord Chronicles by Bernard Cornwall The Winter King on TV is excellent but the visuals are far better on paper.

 

I loved my kindles I had several from the ones with Keyboards to a paperwhite if I was replacing mine today I would probably get an 11 but the paperwhite with the backlight looks nice however, I don't use them any more I just use the app my phone.
