triggmiester Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 Who remembers the great floods of 2007? (Specifically Gloucestershire) started the last day of term.....
newpersn Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 Who remembers the great floods of 2007? (Specifically Gloucestershire) started the last day of term.....Yes. I lived in Glos then. (Was 17 at the time) 2 of mine finished on Friday. Last one finishes on Tuesday.
mrbios Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 Yes. I lived in Glos then. (Was 17 at the time) 2 of mine finished on Friday. Last one finishes on Tuesday. I was really disappointed to miss those floods... well, kind of, as i lived at the top of a big hill where the bottom of said hill had turned into a lake that people were apparently jet skiing on. Sounded fun and cool to see........Though i was in 40 degree heat in Greece at the time, so i wasn't super bothered
localzuk Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 The last year has probably been the toughest of my career. Glad for the summer, will get a couple of weeks rest, but this will be the busiest summer we've had for about 5 years as well! 1
3s-gtech Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 I haven’t even got close to enough time to do all of my summer work. Especially with Macs to rebuild, no MDM for them, and no real experience with MacOS after 10.13! Thankfully, I’m not overly bothered. My holiday time is well needed this year, lots of projects to do including yet another car, some DIY, possibly extensive sleeping.
chrisgreenwood Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 We have about 2 weeks worth in 6 days Some of it isn't time critical but would be nice if we had it done over summer. But i do get most of summer off which is a nice change
howartp Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 Who remembers the great floods of 2007? (Specifically Gloucestershire) started the last day of term..... Yes, we were travelling south and got stuck in the middle of them; had to head back northwards, eastwards around the top of them, then back down south past them. Fun times!
Dos_Box Posted July 24, 2023 Author Posted July 24, 2023 What a start to the hilodays here in Preston yesterday, almost 24 hours of rain! Thnakfully only some localised flooding in dips in roads and my garden, whilst a pond yesterday, is walkable on without it squishing!
