O365 - Student Photos - What do you do?

Currently our users can change their profile pictures on Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook etc).

 

Do any schools set students' profile pictures to their school photos, or is this opening a can of worms?

 

Otherwise I will just set to remove all or replace with logo icon.

For students we have salamander set the school logo for each school's set of students.

We lock this down - a can of worms is a polite way of saying what a student may upload!

'Whatever you want, but if it's inappropriate you're getting a detention. The IT dept aren't on the detention rota so we have no incentive not to be trigger-happy".

It's locked down so that students cannot change their profile image, then a script runs every so often to populate it with the school's logo.

locked down for us. Poor "everyone knows bobs password" would have phallus on a daily basis.

We used to upload their student photo from the MIS but we had too many finding their way onto TikTok and the like so we just push out the school logo via Locker now.
