bjohnny42 Posted May 12, 2023 Posted May 12, 2023 Don't get me started about SIMS not being cloud native yet. But anyway, we are in a world where we are still using SIMS but would like to use a web browser to take lesson registers and submit behaviours and achievements. (Not really worried about any other functions) What options are out there? I've had a look at Emerge Desktop, but that doesn't seem to cope very well with "multiple Timetables" which we run. Does anyone have any recommendations? (Apart from ditch SIMS)
ITGuyNW Posted May 12, 2023 Posted May 12, 2023 Do you mean something like School Synergy or Edulink One? 1
bjohnny42 Posted May 12, 2023 Author Posted May 12, 2023 SIMS connected is one way... But the horror stories i'm reading here don't fill me with joy!
ASA-Simon Posted May 12, 2023 Posted May 12, 2023 Satchel One or Go 4 Schools might offer what you're looking for. 1
Andy2789 Posted May 12, 2023 Posted May 12, 2023 Satchel One do all of what you want and we use it successfully here both on web browsers and via the app on mobile devices, near same time write back to SIMS for the attendance team - who like you, still live on the desktop app
jthompson Posted May 12, 2023 Posted May 12, 2023 EduLink One will let you take registers and log both achievements and behaviour. They have a live demo that you can poke around at without needing to express interest or anything: https://www.edulinkone.com/#!/ then click the DEMO button. The site is responsive so suitable for mobile. Achivements can be found in the Behaviour section. 1
3s-gtech Posted May 12, 2023 Posted May 12, 2023 We use Class Charts to do this. Usage of SIMS itself is pretty limited now, which is just as well as we use Connected and I’d have been dismembered by now otherwise.
