Interactive touch screen options and suppliers

Hi,

 

We're currently looking to purchase an interactive touchscreen for one of our classrooms. Currently we have a 65" Clever Touch screen with WePresent.

 

I'm looking for a 75" screen with a good touchscreen (the calibration problems with our current Clever Touch made the touchscreen unusable) and wireless presentation functionality and multiple HDMI ports so we can have hardwired connections also.

 

I've been in contact with one supplier (Stone Computers) and they recommend ViewSonic screens. Never having looked at ViewSonic screens of this type (I've had multiple standard monitors and they were great) what's everyone opinion?

 

 

Also can anyone recommend any suppliers I can contact in addition to Stone based in the West Midlands/Shropshire area who can supply and fully install?

We use BenQ interactive screens and they are really good. Our supplier is based in the wirral and they do fully install the screens for you. im sure they do travel as well so might be worth contacting them?

I'd be happy to give you an overview of the BenQ portfolio. We have several 75" screens in our range (RE, RM, RP); all are 4K, Anti-Glare and have low blue light / flicker-free mode. With our RM & RP screens we also have antibacterial coatings on the screen. All of the screens are covered with a 3 year de/re-install warranty (65" and above, register within 30 days of purchase and this becomes 5 year de/re-install). As usual my vote goes to iiyama. I know they do wireless but it's not something we use, multiple HDMI etc all good. Ours have been pretty rock solid, and we have a lot of them!

We've been buying 2nd hand Legamaster screens of varying sizes from Evoke Tech. Perfectly happy with them for usability and performance. We don't need any of the frills of most manufacturers. We've had a few minor issues with the supply of remotes and of devices being different to expected, however, they've been *so cheap* I'm happy to keep buying them.

Another +1 for BenQ screens. Have them across our schools and never had an issue.

I went with Prowise (Their version 10 boards are awesome) with the @Very-PC OPS modules

Check out Newline, very good screens and the price point has allowed some schools to purchase 86" models!

We installed a couple of Hisense boards today, quite happy with them especially given the price.

 

The downside though was the USB input for touch is on the front panel of the board, not sure who thought that would be a good design idea.

That is idiotic! So annoying when alleged "designers" don't use their brains on things like this. Hope you can find a nice 90 degree USB cable.....

I know when BenQ did front USB A connectors it was for ease of walk up users, but still had hard connections on rear for faceplate extensions.
