Advice needed! I have a friend that wants to buy a laptop specifically to use with Solidworks CAD. It's an old program from like 2015.

What laptops would be good enough to get him started? Budget is around £600 - £800.

These are a little kinder in terms of spec, but they're still wanting dedicated graphics. I'd definitely suggest desktop is th eway to go!
Thanks Dave

I will go back and explain that to them. I did suggest a desktop in the first place but nope.

It's possible to get a laptop with dedicated graphics however with there budget that won't happen.

Customer has said go above and beyond to ensure its a good machine but I'm finding it hard for laptops in there price range.

"Find me the best machine you can!"

"Hold on, you actually expect me to spend money on this thing?"

Well they definitely want a laptop and I just told them expect prices to be closer to £2000 for a laptop with a dedicated graphics card.

Anyone got any suggestions on a good laptop for this.
