Hi all,

Sorry for another "Bromcom post"

We're migrating to Bromcom from Capita and have identified that our cunninghams system won't fully integrate with Bromcom and it's MCAS (MyChildAtSchool) payments system. We would need to use a standalone payments system separate from bromcom.

The head wants a fully integrated system so we don't have x number of third party systems, parents (and staff) are expected to sign up to.

So my question to all of you using Bromcom, along with it's MCAS payments system. Which Cashless catering system are you using and how have you found them?

Thanks in advance

Posting again here for completeness:

Identity Management = Biostore IDManager

Cashless Catering = Biostore Fastrack

Online Payments = Bromcom My Child At School Parent Portal

IDmanager and Fastrack need a local server but seem to work very reliably.

NOTES:

IDManager sync uses groupcall exporter to get all the student info out of Bromcom. MCAS is all cloud based.

Install experience:

It was done in a couple of hours remotely, we moved from Cunninghams and all balances were transferred automatically from our old system. The only thing we had to do was register the students fingerprints again which sounded like a big task at first but actually we just did it at the till on lunch break and it worked really well. Overall it was well worth moving and nothing really to worry about. We've not had a "sync" issue since.

EDIT: One more thing to mention is the Bromcom parent portal has the dinner money and pay option at the bottom of the main screen which means parents have to scroll down to see it. Hard for new users and we got many parent queries about that on transition. We've asked @Bromcom_Support to change this as its not obvious, not sure if they did it yet so something to bear in mind...

Hi @supportman

Thank you for the feedback. Yes I can see how they could miss these options if they do not scroll down the page. This has been feedback to the product team and they see what can be done to make it more visible to parents.

Hi Bromcom_Support

Are you able to provide a list of fully supported cashless catering systems that fully integrate to MCAS?

I've emailed my Project manager a couple of days ago with this question, but am yet to get a response.

thanks

Thanks, for this, we have bromcom and fastrak. Currently linked to parentpay, their support (parent pay) and service leaves a lot to be desired. We do get syncing issues but i think has stopped now and a lot of this was a hang up from out very old Cunningham's system we were running previously.

When we were looking for a new cashless catering supplier we tried and failed several times to get a list off the bromcom customer service team as to which systems they integrated with for their payment system as we would have switched at that time. This was a year and a bit ago now however.

Hi Jaan, you can find a full list of Bromcom partners at the link below:

https://www.bromcom.com/partners

The page doesn't currently allow you to filter by function - eg ''cashless catering'' - our website team are in the process of updating it to make it slightly easier to navigate.

Hope that helps!

Yep i've seen this..... we were directed to this at the point of demo. Cunninghams is listed as a partner so we thought happy days. But it doesn't tie in with MCAS.

I've also had a reply from my project manager saying here's a list of partners, with the same link you have provided...... i've emailed back to say that cunninghams doesn't fully integrate.... just MIS data, not payments.

I replied to the email last night and asked for a list of cashless catering partners that fully integrate with bromcom, inclusive of MCAS. Hopefully i'll get a response soon.

It's looking like we'll have to change our cashless supplier if we want to fully integrate with Bromcom's MCAS.
