Yes, it is back up but we had already had to cancel the evening as we have no assurance if it will continue to work when all of our users (teachers and parents) log on. The outage message was still on their support phone line too.

We got hit with it too, 2 mins after the first appointments started, nightmare! Ended up postponing just before they announced it was back up, not sure how stable it was after.

We used it for Year 13 before Christmas and it was fantastic. Not sure why it went down this afternoon but it's clearly a popular time for Parents Evenings.

Was supposed to be our third parents event tonight. So far, I've been pretty impressed with how they've gone (tonight aside)

I can't hold the failure against them too much, but I did feel that communications and updates were a bit lacking.

This happened before to us in October. They didn't directly admit to it but at the time I am pretty sure it was an issue with the amount of traffic hitting them. They had to disable the feature that shows teachers if the parent is online or offline. I noticed that feature is now back on....

Can be very flaky. Our first parents evening last year was a disaster with servers going down at their end. Others have been more successful but still with drop outs. Great when it works.

To be honest I'm more curious as to why every school seems to have Parent Evenings on Thursday :p Is there some back story to it? Only ever seems to be the case in every school I've been in that I can remember

If anyone knows some alternatives give me a shout...

We use Parents-Booking by NetMedia.

We ran 2 Parents Evenings via Videocall using their service last Autumn. We used to use them as a way of signing Parents up to Parents Evening but now they have the video function too, it's great.

The only problems we ran into was the occasional Parents struggling to access it.
