Hi guys, hope your all keeping well. So we've been using TEAMS for sometime now, SLT would like the ability to "drop in" to a lesson which are run from within Team/Channels. There was a PowerApp/Flow thing on Github which I got totally confused with.

Is there a simples way of doing this? Don't want to over complicate things!

Thanks guys.

I created new users for 365 access for SLT and then added these users to each team - seems to have worked for them - just did it through the gui

We're using salamander / sds so will probably look at editing the CSV files I get from SIMS to add them as owners/teachers for each class next time I look at this

The problem I have is that Locker has created Teams so have 1898 Teams ... and only 1508 users .. thanks to Alternative Provision. Edited by jhothersall

Hi, did you encounter any problems with this?

I have have an issue importing the power automate, I get the following error for DROP IN FLOW:

Flow save failed with code 'DynamicOperationRequestClientFailure' and message 'The dynamic operation request to API 'sharepointonline' operation 'GetTable' failed with status code 'NotFound'. This may indicate invalid input parameters. Error response: { "status": 404, "message": "List not found\r\nclientRequestId: 897770d3-7d71-407b-ac08-16af811c5982\r\nserviceRequestId: 897770d3-7d71-407b-ac08-16af811c5982" }'.

I can't see what is causing this. it is not in the file edited earlier in the script.

Got this working and I have to say it does the job very well!

Can I ask what Power Apps licences you bought specifically and how many you bought for it to work?

Alternative solution - when staff setup meetings/lessons, just get them to add your SLT or any email distribution group to the list of participants. It will then email them all with the link so they can login by entering their name rather than needing to sign in, if they want to drop in.

Yes, that would work but all our classes are created automatically so this isn't possible.

Surely when you schedule the meeting you can add this in?

Any body else got this working, I am getting the following error:

Drop-in flow : Flow save failed with code 'DynamicOperationRequestClientFailure' and message 'The dynamic operation request to API 'sharepointonline' operation 'GetTable' failed with status code 'NotFound'. This may indicate invalid input parameters. Error response: { "status": 404, "message": "List not found\r\nclientRequestId: 03d8af90-e9a5-4bd0-84aa-2c4aaa00a9f7\r\nserviceRequestId: 03d8af90-e9a5-4bd0-84aa-2c4aaa00a9f7" }'.

Only bit of the instructions i couldnt find to adjust was this part:

  1. Add your logged-in user that is performing the setup to the 'Permissions' list, and set IsAdmin to True. More users can be added at a later time. In 'Permissions' list ,'Title' field is not used but requires information. It can be bogus text for all this solution cares.

Where is this setting to set IsAdmin? I have also been struggling with where to set the Title in permissions list.... Could it be impacting and causing the issue above? Any help greatly appreciated.

When you go to your new SharePoint site, click on the settings cog and then click on Site Contents. Do you see a load of new lists?

I'm having trouble running the PowerShell script to export the Teams. As in, I started it at about midday and it hasn't completed...

Yes, I have 6 lists - Active, Log, Permissions,Schools,Teams, Timeslot. I have made the changes as required to Active and Log - I get it now, you update that permissions table... lockdown is taking its toll!

However still having this issue:

Not wanting to teach you how to suck eggs. However, have you double check you've put the URL to your SharePoint site in correctly? Double checked the user you're using for the SharePoint connector has access to SharePoint/SharePoint site? Added that user in as an owner to the site?

Yer figured it.... had an odd character in there..... could see the wood for the trees.... thanks, worked after that... now waiting for the powershell to work, so few steps behind you!

I think the official way is to pay for premium azure and run a dynamic membership group on the team. We simply run an update powershell script with our "security groups" with our nightly SDS update.

Let me know if/when you have success with the PowerShell stuff. I've got nowhere!

So i got the powershell to work, copied it to notepad and saved as a script, however it took 4 hours to create a CSV with 75 classes in it.... its very very slow.
