ascott2 Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 This was done by our year 13 leavers today. Thought it was quite good so thought I should share. Apparantley it took them 4 hours. Any of your year 13's try anything different this year? 1
tech_guy Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 Blimey that must have cost a fortune in wrapping paper!
Ex-MGSTech Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 Apparently thet blagged it free from somewhere! TBH it was very well wrapped, everything including tyres, mudflaps, exhaust! Probably doubled the value of the minibus!!!
TechMonkey Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 Now that is really well done. Those type of things I really like. I'm assuming everyone here has seen the MIT hacks gallery?
ascott2 Posted May 23, 2008 Author Posted May 23, 2008 Now that is really well done. Those type of things I really like. I'm assuming everyone here has seen the MIT hacks gallery? No what's that?
TechMonkey Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 Archive of MIT 'hacks' (what they call pranks). Of course being MIT they are on a grandious scale, such as turning the dome of one of their buildings into a replica of R2D2, or a whole corridor into a mario level including the information kiosks. An entertaining read.
Jona Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 No what's that? IHTFP Hack Gallery: Welcome to the IHTFP Gallery!
joe90bass Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 This is a MIT Hack classic- On the morning of the dedication of the William H. Gates Building, the internet kiosks in the lobby which normally ran Windows XP were changed to temporarily boot linux. The screens displayed a welcome message from Tux the Linux penguin. After a few hours, they were converted back to Windows XP.
elsiegee40 Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 Last year - Y13 at my daughter's school turfed the Maths corridor - lovely and grassy complete with bench and sun umbrella. Aparently they had the permission of the site manager who failed to inform any of the SMT... he's still in post Not quite sure how they smuggled the rolls of turf in!
john Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 Wow nice job on that one, looks like a Merc Sprinter minibus to me (or a VW LT)
K.C.Leblanc Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 Lucky you, our sixth form always put stuff on the roof and do disgusting things to the toilets. Like so disgusting the cleaners wouldn't go in last year, so the head of sixth form had to don his marigolds.
cooper Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 Thats great ascott, Cheers Cooper This was done by our year 13 leavers today. Thought it was quite good so thought I should share. Apparantley it took them 4 hours. Any of your year 13's try anything different this year?
john Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 Looks a bit too \ at the front for a Ford to me but we await the OPs answer, looks like a Merc around the X period of style, LWB at that.
Ex-MGSTech Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 Minibus spotters unite! It's a Transit, nothing as flash as a Merc I'm afraid (Although there are 2 x LDV ones also!) Steve
john Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 Dang and blast you should wrap it up and try and flog it as a Merc then
rhyds Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 Minibus spotters unite! It's a Transit, nothing as flash as a Merc I'm afraid (Although there are 2 x LDV ones also!) Steve Being a school my money was on LDV, quite possibly the slowest mode of transport known to man...
Sirbendy Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 tell me about it...we have a very battered LDV, and a new, shiny transit.. Slightly embarrassing for SLT is the fact that a few days after delivery, an SLT member drove it into the entrance wall..
