It claims to "help teachers with technology" - what a bizarre little concept...

Joking aside, never heard of it. Couple of the more techy teachers here may be interested in it, might point them in its direction...

They send it to me occasionally - it's supposed to cost, I wouldn't pay for it but might give it a quick flick through. It generally gives quite obvious advice: "If your computer has broken try restarting it!".

I do flick through it ... sometimes they have the odd article that *really* makes sense and helps with researching solutions or opportunities to use technology.

Sometimes it is just stuff that is repeated from other mags but might be helpful for some staff.

I've had the odd one float across my desk when the head of IT has had it as I think IT Teaching subscribe to it as its more for teachers than techys I thought, or at least the last one I actually read from cover to cover seemed more aimed that way than for us lot, but obviously some things in it are useful to us like reviews etc.

As John says, it is a teachers' publication not a techie one. We get a copy here which we put in the Staff Room; I flick through when it comes in and photocopy any articles which look good for the relevant teachers. It does have hardware and software reviews in, but they're pretty limp and don't cover enough products; generally what is useful are the "classroom ideas" suggesting new ways which IT can be used (obviously this requires a teacher willing to try new things out, so might not be suitable in every environment!).
