Now how about this. Tecteun found the child who had come through a portal. This child was from a future Galifrey!

 

That breaks some more recent cannon from the David Tennant era. The universe cannot withstand a paradox.

When The Master brought back the last humans as the Toclafane at the end of New Who Series 3. He had to gut the Tardis and turn it into a device capable of sustaining the paradox he'd created.

 

I'm sure bringing a future child of Galifrey back to create the race of which they were a member would be unsustainable, even with all the power of the Eye of Harmony.

 

I'd put money on The Doctor being more associated with extra-universe/dimensional creatures such as The Eternals, Guardians of Time, Old Ones, etc.

There must have been a reason that Zellin mentioned these beings when telling the Doctor that she'd just freed Rakaya from her eternal prison.

The was this second half of the series has gone I can't believe they were just throwaway mentions.

Yes but in Timelord society in the novel it was a stigma and something to be ridiculed (not that I'm being belly button ist)

 

But the doctor loves humans/is fractious enough to (subconsciously?) have wanted a belly button.

It has always been hinted at that the Doctor was part human... for example in the Doctor Who film with 8... well... original 8.

The Master is REALLY coming on - seemed a bit manic at the start (but then so did the Doctor) but has settled down into a manic, evil, intelligent, unpredictable person - exactly what he should be!

 

Apparently there is going to be a Christmas episode - so we'll have to wait until then to see what the Judoon are up to!

Called Revolution of the Daleks, the special (which will probably air in late 2020 or early 2021) will reunite Whittaker’s Time Lord with her companions Ryan, Yaz and Graham (Tosin Cole, Mandip Gill and Bradley Walsh), and follow on directly from the ending of series 12 which saw the Doctor captured by the Judoon...

A Halloween special would be great - Jodie's run has been missing really scary episodes so far. I imagine that's a function of Moffat leaving - he was really good at the creepy stuff.

WHen I was a kid I did the whole 'hiding behind the sofa' thing with the Daleks - but the only thing that has actually scared me properly was the first episode with the Angels

The suggestion in this thread was that The Doctor could be from Gallifrey's future. In that case, definite paradox, hence my rebuttal!

Are we going back to the Judoon episode? Because clearly that Tardis was hidden away when The (new(old?)) Doctor decided to become human to hide form the Judoon. They'd know what a blue box meant, so burying it and powering it don made sense.

That's why I'm of the opinion that Jo Martin's Doctor comes between classic 2 and 3. Tardis is a Police Box, internals look similar to that era & there's a regeneration gap here that could easily be explained by a hidden regeneration.
