I’m wanting to setup Xibo digital signage, but struggling to get the CMS server setup... what’s the best OS to get it up and running?

Thanks in advance.

I spun up a vm using Ubuntu.

Instructions are relatively straight forward even for a Novice Linux user

Ubuntu here using Docker. I would say its far from easy if your not familiar with Linux.

What stage are you stuck at?

Popped my Linux cherry installing xibo and nagios

It has been a while since I’ve installed xibo so not sure if it more difficult now

Literally it was for me install Ubuntu

Then single one line Sudo get cmd from xibo repository.

Log on to the web front end

Which version of Ubuntu did you use?

Using 18.04 LTS earlier, and docker version told me to go do one with the instructions I was using, and a self install had apache doing the same.

Old version of xibo worked fine before :(

In my homelab I've got it running on a physical Windows 10 Machine as the server. With a separate Windows PC as the client. Both on wireless as it's my homelab. No reason why you couldn't do the same at work.
