Simple Classroom Management

Hi,

 

We are currently in the process of testing and evaluating a classroom management solution. We are looking at a solution that is very simple and easy to use for staff and is easily deployed via SCCM.

 

Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions?

 

Currently we are looking at AB Tutor, Smoothwall Classroom Management and Net-support School.

We use LanSchool (an old version) in some rooms and Net-Support School in others.

Chuck Impero into that mix. Deployability won't be an issue for any of them (unsure about Smoothwall) as they all take care of that themselves. Also take a look at Senso Cloud.

I'm sure we can fit the bill with what you're looking for; typical deployment into a Windows environment for us is under an hour via GPO or SCCM. Will drop you a PM with some details.

We use Net-Support School

I Deploy the Lanschool Application Via SCCM and then use Group Policy to assign a Channel to that room. Very simple to setup and use.

+1 for Netsupport School. Ticks most boxes for us and it's actively developed with new features added regularly.

I've still not got Senso to connect properly with SurfProtect filter from Exa, and the logs don't say which url it's failing on.

Another vote for Senso, since moving from Impero to Senso we've not looked back.

 

Owen is also very knowledgeable and more than happy to help when ever he can.

Owen and the team are some of the nicest support people I've worked with and Owen even responded to my support request on a Sunday evening!

 

Not had a single problem with the platform so far and any issues I've had have been easy fixes by the support team.

NetSupport School can be deployed via SCCM and we also have a "basic mode" which streamlines the Tutor Console so it only displays the most commonly used features.

+1 for Netsupport School. Teacher console is nice and simple to use but has all the necessary features. Can be deployed too
