Teachers Changing Password

Hi, We recently have come into the 21 century and upgraded to server 2012.

 

We previously had server 2008 and we were able to install an Admin pac to their workstation which allowed them to change passwords.

 

But I can find out to get this to work with Server 2012 and Windows 10?

 

Can someone help pls..

Delegate AD rights is what you're after, then install RSAT onto a workstation.

 

It'll look like the full Active Directory, but they can only change passwords for selected OUs.

We delegate access for the Student OU and the put BCX Password Changer on the staff machines.

The Admin Pak is now called Remote Server Admin Tools (RSAT) and depending on the version of the OS you want it on it's either a download or installed via Apps & Features > Optional Features and then look for the RSAT entries and find the one you are after.
