I'll confirm that. This DOESN'T work on iOS10.3.3 (last version of iOS my iPhone 5 supports).

Have you tried just scrolling across the keyboard with 2 fingers this does the same thing!

So, we're talking about TRACKPAD mode basically... originally only supported on devices with 3D Touch pre iOS12. Now supported by everything capable of running iOS12.

The "trackpad" option has been probably the best use of 3D Touch on the iPhone so far IMO. So handy. Probably why it then came to iPhones without it using this method in iOS 12.
