Olliesaurus Posted August 14, 2018 Posted August 14, 2018 Hi all, Does anyone have any suggestions on the best way to deliver a IT Help Desk for a MAT for minimal cost at all? I currently use Spiceworks however finding it a little bit clunky for a MAT, notifications from all directions! I know there are paid for options out there but at the moment its only a small MAT so the costs are quite high! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Norphy Posted August 14, 2018 Posted August 14, 2018 (edited) What do you want from it? Just ticket management or do you want to go further down the ITIL rabbit hole? Are you using any of the other System Center components? Have you considered System Center Service Manager? Edited August 14, 2018 by Norphy 1
yac2016 Posted August 14, 2018 Posted August 14, 2018 +1 for Freshdesk and you can have unlimited agents on the free account. Does also depend on what you want from it. 1
dcwhitworth Posted August 15, 2018 Posted August 15, 2018 ServiceDesk Plus will do what you want. It has free versions that will probably cover your needs. It allows you to set up sites and teams. We share it with our Data Admin team but have it set up so we don't see each other's stuff. 1
Rob_D Posted August 15, 2018 Posted August 15, 2018 We also use Manageengine Servicedesk Plus. Licencing is based on the number of technicians (free for up to 5 technicians). Pricing is pretty reasonable - we pay a couple of hundred annually for a 10 tech licence. 2
jonnykewell1 Posted August 15, 2018 Posted August 15, 2018 Teamwork Desk looks very nice. We are going to be using this from September. 1
Davit2005 Posted August 15, 2018 Posted August 15, 2018 We also use Manageengine Servicedesk Plus. Licencing is based on the number of technicians (free for up to 5 technicians). Pricing is pretty reasonable - we pay a couple of hundred annually for a 10 tech licence. We used ManageEngine Plus at the last place, support was reasonably good and all AD intergrated. Auto assigning mechanisms with ability to exclude specific help desk staff. 1
Olliesaurus Posted July 2, 2019 Author Posted July 2, 2019 I'm a fairly terrible human so never replied to say thank you. Five schools later and a total 3800 tickets successfully working with Freshdesk. Thank you all for your suggestions, they are greatly appreciated! 1
