Visually Impaired student software

Hi

 

Can anybody help we are researching software for our visually impaired students to be able to read what is displayed on the teacher projector displays on a tablet or laptop. We have been using splashtop but we aren't impressed with it's reliability so far. So are looking for alternatives. Has anybody got an ideas for us?

We use the 'show my screen on...' function in Impero

Bit late to the party, but I've had a couple of students come through school and we've just used teamviewer from an iPad. This enables them to enlarge/zoom the screen on their ipad. The only problem is it shows what's on the teachers screen, not necessarily what's on the projector/tv and getting the staff to understand that can be difficult. I'd love to know if anyone has found a better solution.

We recently trialled a 15" laptop (Dell Latitude) alongside a PackedPixels addon display which was only £120. User LOVES it, just works as a secondary monitor, work gets sent via email/onenote, put on that display and everything's golden

We tested blizz (https://www.blizz.com/en/) made by teamviewer in prep for some students in September. Student seemed happy

AKA. Show a static image... I've not found it reliable.

We have used https://www.join.me/ with 2 students using ipad's but android and windows also work. It costs a bit but has been very reliable. orange box around what screen is shown remind staff when not to be on sims etc... teachers share a login unique to each student so there is a static meeting code for the student e.g they 'open app' press 'connect to meeting' done.
