Regrettably I've had to abandon my journey due to being caught up in a road closure near Littlehampton. I was sat in traffic for over an hour and I'm not even halfway. By the time I arrive I will have to head back.

 

On the plus side, I am re-visiting a nice pub between Chichester and Midhurst that I found when I got lost on another journey!

Thanks, all, for a lovely afternoon. It was great chatting in real-time... with the freedom to go off topic despite sitting next to two mods.

 

Jess thoroughly enjoyed herself, although she looks a little subdued in @elsiegee40's picture. She's put in a request for the presence of beer, next time.

 

We're now pitched up on a little site in Pitton, just outside Salisbury. Jess has already crashed out in the tent.

Thanks all for you company this afternoon. It was lovely sat in the shade under the trees picnicking and chatting

 

Home is unpleasantly hot and humid... and while the RMT strike on the way out and the electrical failure approaching Waterloo both failed to delay me sufficiently for delay repay, I got bingo with a train on fire on the last leg of my journey and have been able to claim after all [emoji849]
