We have so far done some testing with the Radix solution but I was wondering if anyone can suggest some alternatives we could try. If you do have alternatives is it a tried and tested solution for updates etc? Thanks
DangPro Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Hi Fraserb82, In theory other MDM's will work but the Radix system has been tested and has the recommendation of Promethean.
Fraserb82 Posted April 11, 2018 Author Posted April 11, 2018 Hi DangPro, My issue is that if it has been tested and is confirmed to work, how come no one at Promethean or Radix can support me with the issue I am having. Surely Radix know how their MDM works over a network and can provide detailed troubleshooting steps and detailed guidance on the likes of ports etc that need to be opened up to enable the connection from the hosted MDM to the ACGs. It's all a bit ridiculous. We have 70+ Promethean V5s going into a new school, all will have ACGs attached and we won't be able to manage them. We have a number of other new school build projects coming up and at this rate, I can't see us sticking with Promethean. Anyway, thanks for your reply and apologies it took me so long to get back to you.
phillyrovers Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 Hi fraserb82, I can see on the Promethean case logging system that you have a case raised with us in regards to some issues you are having with Viso....this is currently with the Global Escalations team, of which I am a part of. I can see that you are having issues with Radix not connecting to your ACG's when connected to your network, though does when tethered to a phone hotspot. I will be picking this case up today and will review and provide next steps. As you have quite rightly pointed out, we do recommend the Radix solution, however I would expect that Radix should be able to tell you the relevant ports and addresses that it's own solution uses to connect to the ACG's. I will likely be sending this to the team that developed the relationship with Radix to see if we can get some answers for you. I will be sending you an email from that case in the next few hours to let you know that I have picked it up and that we are on with it. Thanks

Fraserb82 Posted November 14, 2018 Author Posted November 14, 2018 To follow up on this post. With the support of Radix and Promethean we now have the Radix MDM working as it should be. Both Radix and Promethean have been very helpful during this process.
