MK-2 Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Wait, that Google one is a joke? But I just donated all my salary for the next ten years to them!
SteveB_NI Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Any good April fools happening in your schools today? I have lightened the LCD screen on our photocopier & placed a sheet of acetate with a fake error message on top of this. It looks like a genuine photocopier error I also told the work placement technician when she arrived into work that one of our laptop trolleys had been wheeled away overnight - her face was one of shock & disappointment. My face - if someone had told me the same thing would have been the complete opposite!
PEO Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 I also told the work placement technician when she arrived into work that one of our laptop trolleys had been wheeled away overnight - her face was one of shock & disappointment. My face - if someone had told me the same thing would have been the complete opposite! Ha funny you say that. kids said something similar to me this morning about the laptop trolley. My reaction would have been the same as yours

MK-2 Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Just conspired with an IT teacher that she comes into our room for 2mins. I load up a games website on her class next door and she goes back in and has a go at them for all playing games when she's out the room. I stood outside listening to the 'but it just loaded up itself!' She gave them all detention (obviously told them it was a joke after....shame )
MK-2 Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 hmm actually where's that BSOD screensaver microsoft released. that could go on a select few teacher laptops
witch Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 I'm not at work but The Independent has a whole article about Gordon Ramsay giving up swearing and stopping all swearing in his restaurants!
CAM Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Our Digital Signage has developed this -> http://img216.imageshack.us/img216/3028/crackedscreen1920x12802mj.jpg fault. Those bloody hooligan kids! The old ones are still golden I just discovered, if I close the lid with an Office file open thats located on a network share and set Irfanview to full screen with the text off (its in viewing options), it doesn't go into standby mode and Irfanview hides the error message. Cue opening the laptop with a "cracked screen.";)

cookie_monster Posted April 1, 2008 Author Posted April 1, 2008 Hahaha love it Having been repeatedly subjected to ritual "double-blind" tests by a "gang" of physics and technology teachers in the staff room, who would laugh at him and snap towels when he failed to state correctly whether or not a given piece of equipment was switched on or off
laserblazer Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Last two years the kids have been on holiday. The year before I swapped monitors around. Took them ages to twig.
tech_guy Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 I'm just so glad it's the holiday when it's April 1st - I don't know who would be the worst for jokes and pranks; the teachers or the kids......
ICT_GUY Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Got up at 6am this morning, got old of the other halfs laptop and did the old trick of screen capture, delete all the desktop icons, set screen capture as background. I had to wait till 2pm for the other half to start her laptop up, at 2 mintues past I had to start running, laughed by a** off though.:-)
enjay Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 I had to wait till 2pm for the other half to start her laptop up Doesn't that make you the fool, since it is after midday? :-)
ICT_GUY Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 Doesn't that make you the fool, since it is after midday? :-) Technicality.
