Following upgrade to Win 10 across college, we are having an intermittent issue with the monitor not duplicating to the Promethean projector, it is often reverting to 'Show only on 1'.

All of our tutor stations have permanently installed PCs, so it is not an issue with connecting and disconnecting a laptop.

Short of 'trying' to instruct staff to use the WIN + P function to correct the display, is anyone aware of a way to force screen duplication as a fixed setting?

Under Win 7 this option was always stable, being a 'set and forget' setting, but it is now starting to drive both us and teaching staff to distraction!!

there is an exe called displayswitch.exe which you can run with the switch /clone so you can create a login script and/or a shortcut that runs displayswitch.exe /clone and this will do it for you :-)

are you sure users are not manually switching using the shortcut windows + P. Just saying it may not be a fault. Our students and staff know how to switch views as a regularly email tips and training every now and again

+1 on displayswitch.exe in logon script

Did you ever get this resolved?

We have migrated to W10 over the Summer and are having similar issues, not with projectors, but with Promethean Interactive panels that are all HDMI connected.

Some of the issues are Office 2016 related but others I have not got to the bottom of.

We still get this issue, but it's mainly down to PowerPoint 365 ignoring the settings not to use extended desktop so when they press ESC it turns off the monitor and leaves the ActivPanel as primary
