Helen25 Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 Having changed Office version last week from 2010 to 2016 we are having problems with any powerpoint being shown on IATS. It initially shows the powerpoint in slideshow mode but then lock ups the pc & screen, having changed it's display settings from duplicate to extend. The only exit route I've found so far is to reboot the PC or laptop - not the best solution when the teachers have got multiple documents and flipcharts open in the middle of a lesson. Equipment is generally Toshiba R50-12B laptop & Activetouch 72". Any ideas folks?
bushby Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 Hi @Helen25, if you install the office 2016 GPO's templates, under powerpoint there is a option to disable Presenter Mode by default. as when office is installed powerpoint defaults to presenter mode (extended display). if you need to sort it quick for someone if the GPO isnt sorted open powerpoint in options > Advanced >display change the option for Automatically extend display when presenting on a laptop or tablet. hope this helps 1
Hybrid Posted July 5, 2018 Posted July 5, 2018 I can't seem to find that option in the latest version of the Office 2016 GPOs. In the past I've used a reg hack to allocate it, but was hoping to do with a GPO this time around. Could you confirm which GPO and location you are changing please. Cheers
Boredguy Posted July 5, 2018 Posted July 5, 2018 For the GPO it's in Microsoft PowerPoint 2016/PowerPoint Options/Advanced Do not allow PowerPoint to automatically extend display when presenting on a laptop or tablet We set it and use the reg frag to try and prevent the main screen being turned off when the teacher presses ESC when they have a power point on the ActivPanel 1
