mavhc Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 Turns out that every other planet is round and goes around the sun, and we're unique, just like how the atoms of earth are totally different from those elsewhere, and also the laws of physics, handy.
6Foot2 Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 Classic "I don’t believe in science," Mr Hughes told the Associated Press (AP). "I know about aerodynamics and fluid dynamics and how things move through the air, about the certain size of rocket nozzles, and thrust. But that’s not science, that’s just a formula. There’s no difference between science and science fiction." I await the conspiracy theories surrounding his demise with interest! Link: Flat-Earth Rocketeer Fails to Launch (Again) [Live Science, 5th February 2018] ...The flat-Earth rocketeer remains planet-bound. "Mad" Mike Hughes, a flat-Earth conspiracy theorist who has managed to get significant attention for his now-repeated failed rocket launches, strapped himself into his second homemade rocket Saturday (Feb. 3). But, as Noize TV documented in an excruciating 11-minute livestream of the event, Hughes' rocket never left its pad...

arwen Posted March 8, 2018 Posted March 8, 2018 Some flat earthers have taken to graffiti-ing road signs, walls, bridges up here. I cringe every time I see them, and it is the only occasions I have this complete desire to go clean it off. Most other graffiti I couldn't care less about.

I can imagine them thinking of themselves as rebellious revolutionaries - affecting gang signs, referring to themselves as the "Flat Pack", or at least until they realise this'd make them sound like they come from Ikea.

Yeah - but if you get a flat pack from IKEA and take it down to the beach then hold it up to the horizon and you will see that the horizon is as flat as the pack the pack if flat therefore the earth is flat proof positive go 'Flat Pack'

3s-gtech Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 On his second point, I'm sure Stephen Hawkins does exist, somewhere. He may have died, who knows? However, as it was the famous scientist Stephen Hawking who died, that still stands uncontested. 1

mavhc Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 All conspiracies live as multi hour videos that you Must Watch to Fully Understand their argument. In unrelated news, all conspiracy theorists are unemployed

6Foot2 Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 Link: Flat-earther blasts off in homemade rocket in bid to reassure himself world is shaped 'like a Frisbee' [The Independent] A self-taught rocket man who believes the earth is flat blasted himself 1,875 feet into the air, in an effort to reach orbit and reassure himself the world is shaped “like a Frisbee”. ‘Mad’ Mike Hughes, who has been likened to cartoon character Wile E. Coyote, propelled himself into the sky in a homemade rocket on Saturday, landing hard in the Mojave Desert. The 61-year-old limo driver said he was fine – apart from his aching back – after the launch near Amboy, California... ‘Mad’ Mike Hughes is checked by paramedics after his homemade rocket trip ...In the future Mr Hughes wants to build a ‘Rockoon’ – a rocket that is carried into the atmosphere by a gas-filled balloon, then separated from the balloon and lit – which would take him about 68 miles up. He also plans to run for governor of California.
