Creating AD accounts via IDmanager/MIS

Hi All,

 

The school I currently work at a school that uses Isams and biostore. I currently use a script to create user accounts but i was wondering whether there was a way to automate this, so that new students/staff start and their details are entered into Isam their user accounts are automatically created on Active directory.

PowerShell connect to the database, look for new/ disabled users and create/ disable accounts form that. To achieve this in a more efficient manner you should probably create a delta view of the iSAMs DB and connect your PS to that DB. I am sure you get the idea.....

+1 for Umra, but we use salamander instead now as it does much more for us.

Scheduled csv export from the MIS package database and then a scheduled task to create users from the CSV.

 

Dovestones works well (and cheap) , the only reason we went with a PowerShell script instead is that Dovestones didn't do enough at the time.
