Joanne Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 I love me some craft beers and real ales. I've just signed up to Beer 52 and it looks really good. They send you small batch beers. If you use my link you get £12 off your order, making it half price - https://www.beer52.com/join/123557/634a30b8d5fb2b8a I am also a massive fan of Moorhouses, which a brewery here in Burnley. Love me a pint of Blonde Witch or Ice Witch!
ChrisH Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 The Blond Witch is lethal! It has the "Stella Effect" on some people 1
sippo Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 Over priced those beer places. Marks and Spencer do a cracking range, but many supermarkets are now stocking a lot of beers.
Andycat Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 Booths is best if you're in the North West. I'm picking 2 barrels up from Fuzzy Duck Brewery on Thursday for our staff do. 2
korifugi Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 Most supermarkets now stock a brilliant range of real ales - plus, there are often CAMRA beer festivals around the country for you to try a range. There is also an app you can load on your phone (think Pokemon Go - but for drunk people) called "untappd", where you can rate, compare and see what other people like.

Joanne Posted July 17, 2017 Author Posted July 17, 2017 Pretty sure you can't buy these in supermarkets... I'll post an update when I've got them and if they are sold in supermarkets! Gonna get them in time for my camping trip. Always need a few beers before sleeping on the ground.
HarryMonkey Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 Funnily enough, sleeping on the ground was what I often did as a result of having a few beers
korifugi Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 Ah - beers from Estonia (this time round). That'll explain that then. To be fair breweries are often trying to get their tipple into as many shops as possible - I'm sure Marks & Sparks have recently signed a deal with a Scottish Distributer as they've recently expanded their stock with quite a few Scots breweries (Including the rather wonderful "Fierce Brewery" - just try their Cranachan Killer). I'm in the midlands - so we're quite well off for breweries round here. If you like Blonde Witch, try Falstaff's Smiling Assassin - a rather aptly named beer. 1
stevejp Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 Anyone in or near the Black Country, Sadlers ales (based at the Windsor Castle pub, in Lye) are well worth a try...

steve Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 I do love a good dark ale. Give me a pint of a porter or a stout and I'm a very happy man. Living in Leeds I'm spoilt for choice from the local breweries, Kirkstall, Leeds, Ossett, Northern monk, Shipley, Ilkley, North, the list keeps growing. A pint of Leeds Breweries Midnight Bell, in the Midnight Bell pub takes some beating. 1
Joanne Posted July 18, 2017 Author Posted July 18, 2017 You can get Moorhouses beers in Booths:) Hahahah! You can buy Moorhouses anywhere I'm on about the ones from Beer52
Dos_Box Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 Hahahah! You can buy Moorhouses anywhere I'm on about the ones from Beer52 Ah! Ooops I like the Lancaster Brewery beers as well a Jennings Cumberland Ale and Thwaites Wainwright as my top two.
Joanne Posted July 18, 2017 Author Posted July 18, 2017 My friend goes mad for Thwaites Double Century. I like all the colours. Pale, Dark, Rose, Golden.... OM NOM NOM NOM!
CHM-ITServices Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 I went up to the Bowland brewery a couple of weeks ago - i can highly recommend a trip around the 42 hand pumps!
