LeightonJames Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 This game may be early access but it is far and away one of the best Early Access titles I have played thus far. I picked it up during it's third week of release and I haven't been able to stop playing it. The saturday after I purchased it I spent 8 hours straight playing it. It's a Battle Royale game which places all players regardless of level on the sane starting point in the game. You are all required to skydive from a plane above a remote island and find whatever you can to survive. Items are randomly placed on the island, be it in houses or huts and every so often there will be an air drop which contains rare weapons. The play area starts with the whole island being a viable place to start, after a few minutes a white circle is drawn on the map. This is now the play area, you are then given 5 minutes to reach this circle if you are outside of it, after which a blue energy barrier starts to restrict the play field size. If you are outside of this barrier you WILL start to suffer damage, albeit very slowly. The play area shrinks more and more over time until the area you are fighting in fits inside a single grid reference on the map. Throughout the game "Red Zones" are introduced and these sections are peppered with Mortars for around 30 seconds to 1 minute. DO NOT be out in the open during this time if you happen to be caught ion one of these zones. The game can be played solo, as part of a duo or as part of a "squad" with up to 4 players. Duo's and above feature a revive system where your downed teammate can be revived by you before they bleed out. If all your teammates are dead and you get downed you are instantly killed off as no one is available to help you. The default camera is 3rd Person over the shoulder however you can switch to first person whenever you want. The game is not without it's flaws but it has only been out around 5 weeks. The jumping mechanics need tweaking and at the moment if you get out of any moving vehicle you are hurt quite considerably. The car doesn't even need to be moving overly quickly. The devs have promised to deliver weekly and monthly updates. Well worth picking up!! Some screens attached 1

It's very good considering it's early access but still needs a lot of work. The good thing about this is the Devs listen and release updates every week. A revive bug was introduced in the last patch but the Dev released a fix within a few days. My PC struggles to play this game so might look at getting a new graphics card.

Bubbles Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 I have been playing this. It's extremely addictive and exciting, especially when you are down to the last 10 players. The upcoming additions also look interesting.
Garacesh Posted June 20, 2017 Posted June 20, 2017 I never touched DayZ, The Culling, etc, and I haven't played H1Z1 since they split the game into two, but I picked up PUBG last week and I'm incredibly impressed by it. Still no Winner Winner Chicken Dinner for me yet, but the best I've made it to is #3rd! And I got 5 kills in one game once, four of which were with my fists!

I love the multiplayer aspect, and then the fact you do not need to speak to anyone (unless in team mode) I only get to kill 1 person (the waiting game for me!) - still panic when I see someone! getting better highest rank so far is 8 still looking for my chicken dinner... it will come soon! I am gonna upset a few people here... I DO NOT PLAY KEYBOARD AND MOUSE! I use my steam controller with gyro aim and lean! I can play from the comfort of my sofa I have noticed a few glitches... like driving in a car and then hitting NOTHING? Ideas I would like to see... Mines & Binoculars

My mate and I have been playing some first person duos together over the last week. The first person mode is really good, and we both think it's preferable to the third person game. We've made it into the top 10 a couple of times but we're still hungry for a chicken dinner!
