Joanne Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 32GB for classroom. I have 48 iPad mini 1's @ 16GB. Foolishly bought them 2 years ago and now they won't upgrade to iOS 10. Just a waiting game until you can't get the new apps to work on them!

We thought iPads were great for our BYOD users at first, but quickly learned about the price of replacing them and keeping up with the technology. The technology lifecycle of them was simply unsustainable for us so we stopped doing it a while ago.

Andycat Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 Thats not the education price.... No, the edu price is going to be about £275-80+vat. Mini's were £185+vat last year. We buy 260 a year. Hopefully this will push us to look at Windows/Google alternatives as a school.

I saw a rumor that a version of the iPhone might grow in size into the mini category, but who knows....

True, but inflation/brexit has hit prices *hard*. So even without the new iPad, the prices have gone up significantly for tech across all areas. Laptops we could get for £400 last year are now £550 - 600 each.
