Hi all,

Some of you may remember my posts over the last 7 years now with my dad's health problems, many, many stays in hospital and major surgery. Well in July I'm going to be doing the Walk it! 10K in Bristol to raise some awareness and hopefully a little bit of money towards a fantastic charity that my dad wouldn't be here without.

If anyone can spare anything at all, or even wish me luck!

There's a fundraising page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Claire-Langton

or you can text: CLLA85 £*plus amount* to 70070

All done :) I have two close friends with Crohn's so it is a cause I particularly support.

EDIT

Or I thought I did. It's not showing. Will sort it out

It's not much, but every little helps! Good luck with the run.

Thank you, anything helps and I really appreciate it :) It's actually a walk, which is a bonus as I'm awaiting more tests on my heart at the moment.

Just donated what I could, I have a friend who recently had to have a bag fitted because of his Colitis and two others with Crohn's that use the charity for a lot of support.

Sorry to hear about your friend, my dad also ended up having to get a bag. We were close to loosing him for the 3rd time a few years back. It's such a taboo illness for some reason.

It is very taboo, if my friend wasn't so vocal about it I dont think I'd know what my three friends are going through!

One of my old school friends has it (someone else in my year has it too, actually), he's very vocal about support for it etc, I've never noticed it to be taboo, but then i was around him at school all the time so was always around it?

I'd heard of them both, but not how much it affects people, or that people could die from it.
