Hi

As Serif are moving down the Affinity route and discontinuing WebPlus and MoviePlus products, what are schools now using for web design and movie creation when moving to Windows 10?

I don't think we could afford the new adobe cc licensing subscription service.

We still run serif on windows 10 and it runs ok.

Not sure what we would move to. We do have power director for our media students who dont have any bother with it.

As for web creator software, im sure our lot will try to get powerpoint to do that LOL!

Looks like we'll stick with Serif until it dies. We've considered the Adobe route (which would be my preferred option) but it is too expensive and Expression Studio is a bit complex for some of our year groups. Serif did ring me the other day to try and flog me their new software and I've told them exactly what I think of the direction they are going in - they were left in no doubt that there will be no point pursuing sales in this direction!

The route that Serif have taken is spot on (single page apps that run in a browser). What they failed to appreciate is how much schools are willing to pay for this.

They have completely misread the market. The quotation we had amounted to half our entire ICT budget - for one piece of software ??!?
