ahjaay Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Hi all, Upgraded SIMS to the Autumn release this evening. How is everyone getting on with it? Any known or bizarre issues cropped up? Cheers
crwardell Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 Installed it last weekend had no problems reported
FragglePete Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 Like wise - had it running a few weeks now - no issues. Pete
3s-gtech Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 Not had any issues so far, couple of weeks in.
FN-GM Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 Ecopy doesn't seem to work with it. Comes up an error message comapling about the time not being correct.
speckytecky Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 Only issues where Staff failed to log out of it as notified to them at the briefing before the update was launched!
3s-gtech Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 There are some reports around suggesting that the macro signing that was implemented with a patch to the Summer release is now not working again.
crwardell Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Only issues where Staff failed to log out of it as notified to them at the briefing before the update was launched! I think I'm right in saying solus 3 deals with this :-)
zag Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Seems all good here, ran the upgrade and 20 machines failed with Solus. No idea why, clicking on the solus icon and checking for update seems to have made it work.
Gibbo Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 There's a good half a dozen post-release patches.
AJWhite1970 Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 Updated SIMS last night and went without a single issue. SOLUS upgrade planned for tonight, that might be more fun....
jertsy Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 It been deployed a week here, I had one machine that had to have SIMS reinstalled a day or so after the update - could be unrelated. Not a problem as such but I have noticed that the wrong academic year is displayed on the users home screen (although SIMS is actually using the correct year) apparently there is a patch being developed for this. Otherwise all good.
bwestlake Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 pushed it out last night and havent had any issues yet
FN-GM Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 Updated SIMS last night and went without a single issue. SOLUS upgrade planned for tonight, that might be more fun.... I did my Solus update a few weeks ago. That way I can see any potential Solus issues without any downtime to SIMS
zag Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 One good thing is Solus finally remembers the username and password for targets. Something I asked for a long time ago

Otherwise all good. Just did the upgrade and have same problem with academic year being shown wrong, Capita guy i just talked to said he was not aware and its and issue and is isolated to us.... passed it to 2nd line.

I have just spoken to our SIMS support (not Capita) and they say it will be fixed in the next SIMS release @rob101
