Not a mug at all! In my student days there were lots of these jokes going around:

Once upon a time there was a little cornflake, and he decided that he didn't want to be eaten because he just like the thought of being burnt up in all that stomach acid. so he decided to escape.

 

So, he climbed up the inside of the inside packet, down the inside of the inside packet, up the inside of the outside packet down the outside of the outside packet, and across the table. he looks down and thinks, hmmm that's an awfully long way down for a little cornflake like me! Then he remembers, aha! there's a free action man in the box! He has a rope! so the little cornflake goes across the table, up the outside of the outside packet down the inside of the outside packet, up the outside of the inside packet, down the inside of the inside packet and gets the action man's rope. Then he climbed up the inside of the inside packet, down the inside of the inside packet, up the inside of the outside packet, down the outside of the outside packet, and across the table, tied the rope to a salt shaker and climbed down to the floor below....

It goes on for a lot longer with the little cornflake going in and out of the inner and outer packets with new obstacles along the way (make them up as you like) when you think your audience has had enough finish with:

...down the inside of the outside packet, up the outside of the inside packet, down the inside of the inside packet and gets the action man's stick.Then he climbed up the inside of the inside packet, down the inside of the inside packet, up the inside of the outside down the outside of the outside packet, and across the table down the rope, across the carpet up the lasso and opens the window, steps out onto the window ledge...
