Tesla Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 (edited) Looking at buying a Washer Dryer, seems to be a good deal on this site? Indesit IWDD7123 7kg Wash 5kg Dry 1200rpm Freestanding Washer Dryer - White | Appliances Direct Anyone ever used them (or their other companies including laptops direct?) As a side note, anyone have experiences with washer dryers in general? How dry do they actually get the clothes etc Edited September 20, 2016 by Tesla
Norphy Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 I bought my washing machine from them. Arranged six month interest free credit with no issues and got the machine promptly when arranged. They're a bit spammy about extended warranties but that's the only niggle I have with them. Don't know what their after sales is like cos I've not used it
john Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 I've used Laptops Direct in the past and been great and fine but not used in recent times.
mikeprice Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 I used to have a washer dryer - main problem with them is that you start the dryer bit off in an environment that is generally wet - therefore you waste energy drying the drum and stuff I have always found the dedicated dryers perform better - but obviously take up room Also I have spoken to repair people that reckon that the washer/dryers tend to be less reliable than washers and dryers ymmv
elsiegee40 Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 It's always worth putting the clothes through an extra spin cycle before tumble drying them.
MatthewL Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 Never heard a bad word about them, alot of people recommend ao.com also.
r0cketbev Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 I bought a fridge freezer from them had no problems with it touch wood. Main site is very close to me. i would recommend them.
Tesla Posted September 21, 2016 Author Posted September 21, 2016 Ta people, as it turns out there's a better model available available at ao that i've found, but always good to ask around. @mikeprice , space is the main reason we are looking for a washer dryer, only got a smallish 2 bed house. It's also a new build, and drying in winter is a pain, because the radiators are tiny, and the house stays quite warm anyway even in the dead of winter without the heating hardly being on, but that doesn't dry the clothes!
Homer Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Recommendation for ao.com over here! Fantastic service, really really good delivery service
woodham Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 if your drying on rads dont forget to get the windows open otherwise youll end up with black mold somewhere, due to condensation
