Student and Staff Profiles

Currently working in a couple of schools where, depending on the laptop/pc the child or staff member logs onto depends on whether or not things such as the Wallpaper, proxy settings or shared drives are available.

 

I can log the same student on to 2 different laptops with differing results, such as shared drive visible on one but not on the other.

 

There appears to be no pattern to this happening that I can see.

 

Any ideas please?

Does the site have 2 DCs, is the sysvol replicating between the 2?

Your Laptops may not be in the same OU, to get the same policy you require they need to be in the same OU which you have set your policies in.

 

If it is time consuming I would scrap your policies and start fresh or knowing what policies work then start with the working one and then create new GPs to apply your restriction either to the staff or student logins
